For this final I really wanted to try and make an animation based on a poem or a song and so when I was looking around I found this poem called, "The Cat and the Moon". The poem basically talks about the interaction between this cat, "Minnaloushe" and the moon, it's believed that the poem was actually talking about the authors relationship with a woman called, Maude Gonne and how she refused to accept his proposal because he wouldn't convert to Catholicism. This is a lot of extra stuff I found out while researching but I really wanted to do this poem due to the hidden meaning and purpose that might have been behind it! (A lot of what have is still open ended but I'm really excited to start this!)
I love this concept! That is a very interesting story of the man and the woman's relationship and how he felt compelled to write about it in the form of a cat and the moon. I'm excited to see what visuals you come up with in your animation. Based on the storyboard, it looks like you could take some inspiration from Disney cartoons.
